What I'm Working On

  1. 🇺🇳  I started my journey at the UN and worked for two years between my bachelors and masters. ****I graduated with a Master in International Affairs from the Graduate Institute Geneva in 2022.
  2. 🎬  On my YouTube channel, I make videos on my daily life in Geneva #gradschooldiaries, books, languages and much more.
  3. 💊  FINPHARM project - I’ve been working as a research assistant for two years, looking at the impact of financialisation on global health (FINPHARM). We look at how financial motives, such as shareholder maximisation has become a dominant motive within big pharmaceutical companies; we also examine financial strategies pharmaceutical companies use to ensure high shareholder return. There are certain financial ways to do this. On a day-to-day basis, I analyse lots of balance sheets, cash flow statements of publicly traded companies and extract key financialisation metrics. I also analysed key M&A deals as a way to pump up the R&D pipeline. Currently, I look at VC funding for the antiviral biotechnology space. Other Interests

  1. 👩🏻‍🎨 I'm an artist at heart. I love to create, especially fine art, i.e. portrait drawing and painting. Check out my 30-day-drawing challenge — the gym for my creative muscles 💪
  2. 🇫🇷 Levelling up my French by taking a B1 course and meeting up with a tandem partner weekly. I also made a short YouTube video on 'financialisation' in French, here.
  3. 📊 Levelling up my Excel skills by taking free online courses and practising through my job. I might make a video on how I do this in the future.
  4. 👩🏻‍💻 Levelling up my Coding skills by enrolling in coding bootcamps and watching JomaTech [watch this space: my goal is to display my projects on Github].
  5. 🇻🇳 🇩🇪 On TikTok (@amyznguyen), I make light-hearted comedy videos on growing up Asian (at least my kind of humour).
